Past International Directors in MD "A"

1977-79
William H. "Bill" Maguire, of Cobourg, Ontario, Canada, was elected to serve
as a director of The International Association of Lions Clubs at the association's 60th
annual convention, held July 2, I977 in New Orleans, Louisiana, U.S.A.
Past Director Maguire was President of a travel services company.
A member of the Cobourg Lions Club since 1964, Maguire has held many positions
within the association, including club president and district governor. He has also
held perfect attendance since becoming a Lion.
For his many contributions to the association, he has received the Master Key Award,
the 100% District Governor Award, nine Extension Awards, several International
President's Awards and the Ambassador of Good Will Award, the highest honour granted
to a Lion by the association.
Past Director Maguire and his wife, Doris, have seven children, 12 grandchildren
and one great-grandchild.

1981-83
Bruce E. Murray, of St. Marys, Ontario, Canada, served a term as Director of
The International Association of Lions Clubs after his election at the Association's
64th Convention held in Phoenix, Arizona, U.S.A., June l0th 1981.
Past Director Murray owns and operates an auction company and antique dealership.
A Lion since 1965, Past Director Murray has held numerous positions within the
association, including club president, zone chairman, deputy district governor
and promotional chairman for his multiple district.
He has received seven Extension Awards, the 100% District Governor Award,
several International President's Awards and is a Key Member. He is also a recipient
of the Ambassador of Good Will Award. Lion Murray founded Canada's first International
Youth Camp and served for six years as its director. He is also a founder of the Lions
Foundation of Canada.
Past Director Murray is married to Janice and has three children and four
grandchildren.

1985-87
H.H."Ernie" Moore, of Cambridge, Ontario, Canada, served a term
as a director of The International Association of Lions Clubs after his election
at the association's 68th annual convention in Dallas, Texas, U.S.A., in June 1985.
Past Director Moore worked for the Ontario Government for over 34 years,
and is now retired. A Lion since 1953, Past Director Moore has held the offices
of Charter Club President, District Governor, Council Chair and Treasurer of the
Lions Foundation of Canada. He served as an appointee to the International Board
of Directors in 1987-88.
In recognition of his contributions to the association, Past Director Moore
has received a 100% District Governor Award, several International President's
Awards and is a Life Member, Key member and recipient of the Ambassador of Good
Will Award, the highest honor granted a member by the association. He is also a
Melvin Jones Fellow. In addition to his Lions service, Past Director Moore has
been involved in community programs in his area.
Past Director Moore and his wife Julie, have two daughters, one son and four
grandchildren.

1989-91
Gil Constantini, of Peterborough, Ontario, Canada, was elected to serve a
term as director of The international Association of Lions Clubs at the association's
72nd annual convention, held in Miami/Miami Beach, U.S.A., in June 1989.
Past Director Constantini is a chartered insurance broker associated with a
regional brokerage. He is also the past president of the Insurance Brokers
Association of Ontario.
A Lion since 1974 and currently a member of the Peterborough Lions Club,
Past Director Constantini has served as club president, zone chair, district
governor and council chair. He has served on several multiple district committees,
including MD secretary.
For his contributions to the association, he has received the 100% District
Governor Award, two Extension Awards, several International President's Awards
as well as the Ambassador of Good Will Award, the highest honour granted by the
association to its members.
Past Director Constantini and his wife, Ann, have a daughter and granddaughter.

1993-95
Bill Moody, of Mt. Forest, Ontario, Canada, was elected to serve a term as
director of The International Association of Lions Clubs at the association's
76th annual convention, held in Minneapolis, Minnesota, U.S.A., July 1993.
Past Director Moody is a Board Member for the Ontario Film Review Board,
a body that reviews and classifies all movies and videos in Ontario.
A Life Member of the Mt. Forest Lions Club, Moody has been a Lion since
1959. He has held many offices within the association including club
secretary, president, zone chair and District Governor. He also served as
charter chair and is a life member of the Lions Foundation of Canada and
has presented several times at the USA/Canada Lions Leadership Forum.
While serving as District Extension Chair, he formed 27 new Lions Clubs.
Past Director Moody has received numerous awards in recognition of his
service to the association, including the 100% District Governor Award,
International Leadership Award, several International President's Awards
and the Ambassador of Good Will Award, the highest award the association
grants to its members. He is also a Past International President Judge Brian
Stevenson Fellow and a Melvin Jones Fellow.
Past Director Moody and his wife, Kaye, also a Melvin Jones Fellow, have
three children and seven grandchildren.

2001-03
Art Woods, of Elmira, Ontario, Canada, was elected to serve a two-year term as
a director of The International Association of Lions Clubs at the association's
84th International Convention, held in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA, July 2001.
Director Woods is a lawyer.
A member of the Elmira Lions Club since 1972 with 28 years of perfect
attendance, Director Woods has held many offices within the association,
including club president, zone chairman, district governor and council chairman.
In addition, he has served as volunteer legal counsel for the Lions Foundation of
Canada, Lions-Quest of Canada and Lions Clubs Camp Kirk Foundation.
In recognition of his service to the association, Director Woods has received
numerous awards including the 100% Club President's Award, a Membership
Key Award, a 100% District Governor's Award, an International President's
Award and an International Leadership Award. He is also a life member of the
Elmira Lions Club and a Melvin Jones Fellow.
In addition to his Lion activities, Director Woods is active in numerous
professional and community organizations. He is a board member of the
Woolwich Community Fund and a chairman for the Lions Foundation of Canada
Memorial Forest. In addition, He also served as chairman of the Trailway
Advisory Board and director of the Woolwich Agricultural Society.
Director Woods and his wife, Carole, have a son.
