PDG Len Snider, A-15 (DG A-1, 1965-66)

We regret to inform you that former Lion and Past District Governor Len Snider, aged 93, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2007 at the Columbia Forest Long Term Care Centre, in Waterloo.

He is survived by his son Barry (Cheryl) and grandchildren Tori and Aaron.

Len was a life long resident of Waterloo, and proprietor of Waterloo Stove and Appliances until 1976. He had been a life member of the Waterloo Lions Club in District A-15 and a Past District Governor of District A-1 (1965-66).

He was also a dedicated Mason, Shriner and Jester, and recipient of the prestigious William Mercer Wilson medal. He will be remembered for his love of life and friendship and fun with all whom he met during his life.

Friends are invited to share their memories of Len with his family at visitation on Wednesday, May 16th, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo. A Masonic Service will be held on Wednesday at 6:30pm in the funeral home chapel.

The memorial service to celebrate Len’s life will take place on Thursday, May 17th, 11 am, at First united Church, King & William Street, in Waterloo.
