Guidelines for posting Lions death notices

Postby mdalions » Tue Aug 26, 2008 23:08

Please consider the following suggestions for placing information in these forums:

- Post PDG deaths in the PDG list, other Lions in the Lions list

- Subject should contain Lion's name (preceded by title, or "Lion"), Club & District of residence
e.g. "Lion Ed Sampson, Brampton Lions Club, A-711"

- In the case of a PDG, do not add Club & add year as Governor in parentheses (and District, if not current District)
e.g. "PDG Don Robertson, A-15 (1996-97)
e.g. "PCC Victor Dinnin, A-15 (DG A-1, 1952-53)"

- In the case of a PID, please use the title, include District of residence, and include years as Director
e.g. "PID Name, District (ID for Country yyyy-yy)"

In the text of the notice, please add whatever you think is relevant, especially date, time, place and contact information if you wish to have questions referred to someone. Here you may add whatever history or accomplishments of the deceased Lion that you feel is appropriate. THe information may be augmented by posting "Replies" or by editing the original post.

Note that any registered Lion may add Lions death notices, including for PDGs. Until you have registered for access to the Lions Open Forum, you may not post notices there. Contact me if you have questions.
